Un pececito

Normally i won't play people HU who sit with half a stack or less..
i generally tell them, 'moar $ plz', to which they either respond with

a) 'fuk you die'
b) 'just play' or
c) snap leave.

once in a while they reload.

This dude sat with $24.36 ... meh.
he did alright..  binkin' on me 7x ...

Stars $0.25/$0.50 NLHE HU

Hero (BTN/SB): $74.68
BB: $140.35

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN/SB with J A

Hero raises to $1.25, BB raises to $5,

he was 3betting all kinds of hands.. from J8o to min-re-raising A8s OOP..
he seemed to like to RR worse hands bigger and CIB with (what he thought) was the nuts.
here, AJo is the nuts.. but, being a stack-and-a-half deep, i didn't want to 4b/call-it-off or 4b and take a flop.. so i opted to flat and play post-flop.

Hero calls $3.75

Flop: ($10.00) 6 5 A

BB bets $10.50,

here.. he overbets. probably not on purpose..
pretty sure he just made a fist and punched the keyboard.
just your run of the mill.. fish smashin' pot btn with the majority of his 3betting range..
prior to this hand, he was playing fairly passive post-flop in 3b pots..
if he had the nuts i think he would've taken more time.. or bet smaller to get more calls..
so i'm assuming a middlish range.. a lot of aces (A2-AK) , draws, bigger pp's that he doesn't know what to do with, and air.

Hero calls $10.50

*i considered raise/calling due to the amount of draws.. which might have been better.. given the amount of scary turns and myself not having a BDFD.. but i opted to flat again and let him continue betting his air, draws, and worse aces.. at this point i'm not thinking about folding.

Turn: ($31.00) 2

BB checks,

turn is a brick.

it completes sixteen 34's (you could probably weigh that down to ~8),
three 22's, and gives the six combos of A2 two pair. You can weigh those 17 combos down a lil to say 11.. and with the six combos of A2 i think he keeps betting on the turn due to the flush and straight draws.. that's not to say that he wouldn't try to CRAI with all of 'em.

but, overall, it doesn't change much.

options here:

Door #1 - check back:  nah.
too many draws and scare cards on the river to get full value from worse aces.. it also let's him catch up as well.

Door #2 - bet/ fold: when you have showdown value, why bet if you're gonna fold?
better off checking back.

Door #3 - bet/call: this gets you full value from worse aces (whether he check/calls them or check/raises them AI) and it charges straight and flush draws (also hands he could C/shove).

Hero bets $17.50,
BB raises to $75,
Hero calls $41.68 all in

Final Pot: $149.36
Hero shows J A (a pair of Aces)
BB shows T A (two pair, Aces and Tens)

...that was the eighth.
